Laura & Ryan's Engagement Guestbook 01.01.2008 | products

One of the products I offer to my clients that I L-O-V-E (yes, I'm spelling it out in my head as I type, please follow along) are my engagement guestbooks. They are simply the cutest little hard cover books, eight inches by eight inches in size (love the modern square format) and they come with thirty pages. About half of my couples for this year have chosen to order custom guestbooks that feature their engagement session images and I think they are even more wonderful for doing so.

It's a great way to show off your cute and snazzy e-sesh photos to your guests, as well as a cool thing for your guests to read and flip through. Much more interesting than a blank book with gray lines, right? This guestbook was from Ryan & Laura's engagement sessiona few months ago: one of my favourite of the year. Ryan and Laura got married on August 30, this past Saturday and I'll be blogging their wedding tomorrow--I can't wait!

Love the lay flat pages!

Such a cute couple, these two.

Sarah + Mike | Album Design 01.01.2008 | products

I honestly enjoy every part of my job and every bride and groom that crosses my path. From the initial email where I'm usually jumping with excitement picturing their day full of fabulous details to the first meeting or phone call where I finally get to hear the client's voice and talk more in depth about their ideas. After the meeting, I get to smile my face off when the couple decides to (hopefully) book me for their day! Then we start planning the engagement session... oh engagement sessions, how I love thee. I send a little quesionnaire to all my brides and grooms asking some questions about how they met, what kind of music/movies/food/etc they like and then during the engagement session I get to know them even BETTER!

By this point in time, we're pretty much BFF and then I usually just count the days until I get to attend and photograph the weddings of my BFFs. ;) Ohh I'm making myself laugh. The wedding day arrives and it is glorious and my couples rock it out, every single wedding. After the wedding, the album design starts and then a couple of months later it arrives at my door: all pretty and perfect. Total excitement while I'm opening it up, but also a bitter sweet time--the album being shipped off marks the end of my job with each client... but I know a way to fix that. Maternity and baby photos anyone?

Here is the gorgeous black album of Sarah and Mike's October 18, 2008 wedding. It's a 12x12" square black leather album, with 30 spreads or 60 pages. It's HUGE and lovely. Enjoy!

(My logo isn't actually inside the album; that's just my blog-watermark.)

mike + amanda's album 01.01.2008 | weddings, products

One of my absolute favourite part of photographing weddings is the finished product: the wedding album. It's SO rewarding when I receive these stunning leather-bound albums at my door and I just can't wait to rip the box open and re-live the day as I flip through the pages! Mike and Amanda's wedding album arrived last week from KISS Wedding Books. It's soooo gorgeous! I love feeling the leather, it's incredibly soft--just amazing. I love the bright green colour Amanda chose as well, it fits their wedding colors so perfectly. Photographers, this album was designed by the incredible Amy @ Albumesque.

Aren't they just the cutest things ever? I love this first dance spread.

Some more samples from inside the album. :)
