It was fairly last minute, but I met Angela Hubbard on a Wednesday... and shot a wedding with her that Sunday! We've been connecting via facebook/twitter/emails for a while and been meaning to meet up, but it wasn't until the Becker workshop that it happened. I threw it out there in conversation that I'd love to second-shoot sometime for a short wedding she may have. Turns out, just four days later, we got to photograph a beautiful wedding at Brix Restaurant.
In true Vancouver style, it rained all morning, but stopped by mid-afternoon in time for photos. Angela & I started the day off with the groom, as he walked a couple blocks to see his bride for the first time on their wedding day. It's a very different experience to be a second shooter; to meet the couple for the first time on the day-of the wedding, having never heard even their names before! What a warm, welcoming couple they are--along with their 4-year-old daughter. They were so in love, and so ready to get married in front of their closest friends and family.
