Engagement Session: Kara & Austin
Kara moved north after high school, leaving behind her friends, family and hometown of Portland, Oregon to the city of Seattle to attend university. Kara knew she’d find an education, but what she didn’t know was that she’d also find an awesome man to call her own. Fast forward to Austin.. and Kara & Austin’s first date at Starbucks. Kara giggled as she reminisced, “Austin didn’t talk much. It was kinda awkward. I was talking so much, so fast and he sat there. Listening. I liked him. I did. But he didn’t talk much.” As Austin drove onto our second location, he laughed and said, “It wasn’t that bad. You have to know, Jamie. It runs in my family. We’re quiet.”
Well, their relationship has progressed since that first date yearrrrrrs ago. Haha! Kara & Austin are wonderful together—it’s true, Kara talks, Austin listens—for the most part; but they have a great dynamic together. They’ve also faced the challenge of a long-distance relationship for over a year now. Austin lives in Seattle, Kara in Portland and she commutes to Seattle every weekend. Ahh! Lots of driving. I don’t know how you two do it–but I know you’ll be stronger for it. ;)
