Brittany & Danny’s first conversation happened in 2009, in the cafeteria line at Trinity Western University. Upon hearing that they were out of chicken, Danny leaned over to the blonde in front of him to ask what he should order in his wrap instead. Brittany responded, Turkey and bacon together! Just as good as the chicken. A simple conversation, replayed by Brittany to her friends later that day. For a few days, Brittany called Danny the “hot cafeteria boy” [or a similar wording to the same effect, can’t remember the exact phrase!] — until she made the connection. Danny played on the university basketball team. Brittany had been to his games. She noticed Danny as “the best looking guy on the team.” Of course, the cafeteria interaction had become her second impression: “he was funny, and again… very good looking.”

Although a few Facebook messages were sent back and forth, there wasn’t much contact over the summer of 2010, until a reconnection at friend’s party that Fall. These two hit it off and exchanged numbers. Their December was spent studying for finals and quietly laughing together in the library. When Brittany returned home from a New Year’s vacation in Mexico, Danny officially asked her to be his girlfriend on the snowy eve of January 11, 2011.

Brittany is a friend of Christie [& Dan’s] so I met her through Christie in November 2011 when I ran into them studying at Starbucks. I spent more time with Brittany and met her boyfriend Danny at Christie & Dan’s wedding last month. We shared a table at the reception and it was awesome to learn more about these two. Danny proposed to Brittany on October 3rd [her 22nd birthday] with the most gorgeous rose-gold ring and Brittany was quick to book me for their July 2013 wedding. I was pretty stinkin’ excited.

Danny lives in Abbotsford, Brittany & I live in Langley, so we decided to carpool to the city for their session. Danny chivalrously drove [thank you, Danny!] and the whole session felt like hanging out with friends. Brittany even bought me a green tea halfway through. Seriously. The sweetest. A stylish, photogenic, adorable pair — and I am thrilled to venture out to Campbell River for their wedding next summer. It’ll be my first time in the little town. ;)
