In August of 2009, Natalie started working at Boston Pizza. She had recently moved from Alberta to BC and in her first week of work, she dropped a full tray of water glasses on the ground. With a large crash, the shards of glasses landed right at a co-worker’s feet. And that co-worker was Reuben. He immediately kneeled down to help Natalie with the mess and that was the start of their working friendship. Reuben remembers thinking she was beautiful… and Natalie remembers thinking Reuben was the “sweetest, most adorable guy” she had ever met.
However, it wasn’t until 4 years later Natalie & Reuben started to date. It only took them about 6 months to know they were meant to be together forever and Reuben asked Natalie to be his wife! On the day we had scheduled the session for it was pourrrring outside. Absolutely down pouring. All. Day. Long. Most couples are texting/calling/emailing right away to reschedule and chat about their options. Not these two. They were prepared to be outdoors, with umbrellas, whatever we needed to do. Thankfully we found a back-up indoor location and a sweet parking garage and made it work! In September of this year, Natalie and Reuben will be wed. I’m so excited to photograph their wedding! (Without rain. Fingers crossed.)
Enjoy!
Stunning! Absolutely beautiful, rain or not these turned out great. :)
Wow! I loved ever single one of these! Way to work around the weather. Amazing
Beautiful images Jamie! If you don’t mind my asking, where did you take these photos? I would love to add it to my list of rainy back up locations. ;)
