Our Love Story
Two weeks ago, my brother Brandon married Jen! I was honoured to be both a bridesmaid and a photographer at their wedding day. If you missed those posts, be sure to check them out at Part One and Part Two. Two evenings before their wedding day, my parents hosted a backyard rehearsal dinner to celebrate Brandon and Jen and thank all of the volunteers/helpers/bridal party members for their involvement in the day. My mom worked tirelessly to make sure the backyard was perfect! She’s a master gardener and landscaper. She also took full advantage of all of the string lights we purchased for our wedding in March, stringing the bulbs all across the yard and the deck. Well, on second thought, that may have been my Dad stringing the lights – but she carried the vision.
All of the thirty guests sat at tables set under string lights on the lawn, decorated with gold wrapping paper table runners, candles and place cards. We had a fabulous buffet of steak, salmon, salads, corn and vegetables and for dessert, fruit cups, dessert squares, chocolate mousse even a “s’mores” bar. It was a beautiful September night and a great time of relaxed conversation with friends before the wedding day.
