i love this family. i mean that in the “i want to be friends of yours for years to come” kinda way. i love this family. they feel my own family sometimes; which, considering we have spent exactly five days together in our entire lives, is quite something. i had met jason in early 2009 at the wppi conference in las vegas. jason works as a “support stud” for showit, the company i use for my website. i was hanging around the showit crew and i met him. a few months later, i don’t exactly even remember how, his wife kara and i started facebook messaging. became facebook friends. i determined that they were an awesome couple and they determined that i was alright, too. i was headed to california for a roadtrip with sarah & kristen last july and decided to come in three days early to officially meet kara and chill with them in fresno. oh, forgot to mention, kara was also expecting little teegers (teegan) at this point. we parted after three days and i said goodbye knowing these folks were special people.

kara and jason and i facebook chat a lot and kara and i often message back and forth. i count them as dear, dear friends and they are role models to me in so many ways. a full thirteen months later, i finally saw them again! plus one! kara had given birth to a beautiful baby girl in january. tegan! they truly are such generous, giving people. example? i needed a car to get around while i was in california shooting kaitlin & joe’s wedding. they not only let me borrow their big ol’ ford f-150 to drive it to santa clarita and back, they also invited me to stay as long as i wanted with their family on their annual family vacation. blessed. i look forward to them visitin’ my family up here in canada come october.
