I can’t believe I haven’t written on this blog in 6 days! Truly a miracle, considering the nazi-blogger I am. Pretty sure I have not gone 6 days without posting on my blog since September 2007; no exaggeration! I’m a solid every 1-2 (maybe 3 days!) blogger, but this December has been an awesome CHILL time for me. It started with finishing up finals in school, then spending a great weekend in Seattle with family to attend a Michael W. Smith Christmas concert. I jetted from Seattle to Nashville to spend the week with Sarah, which I just adored. I was home late on December 20th, and then the next few days were spent getting ready for Christmas and relaxing. I’ve kind of declared December a “minimum amount of work possible” month and I’ve loved it. I have been working and/or going to school non-stop for the past 16 months and its nice to exhale and just rest for a while. I feel so blessed that I’ve been able to do just that the past few weeks. That being said, it’s time to return to the blog world.

Vancouver, BC was pelted with unbelievably cold temperatures and tons of snow during the week I was in Nashville. Most evenings/days it was around -10 to -15C, or 4 to 14F — I was in Nashville and stalking the weather network in shock that Vancouver was in an “Arctic Wind Warning” storm. By the time I returned home the temperatures got a little more normal (-3C or 25F) but we got tons and tons of snow! It was actually a RECORD December snowfall in the whole history of Vancouver. Cool hey? Due to that, our lives kind of stopped as it’s hard to drive anywhere or do anything because Vancouver is not that well-equipped with snowplows and the like. Also, ahem, some boy named Brandon went and put our only SUV in a ditch, so my three-car family has been left sharing two sportscars. Mmmhm. It’s been an adventure.

Christmas Eve Morning, our backyard looked like this:

Needless to say, we spent most of the day inside playing Scrabble.

After a while inside, it was time to step outside and “face the snow!” Here’s my great shovelling outside. The unshowered look is good for me hey?

I’m a big fan of this girl–I just love my dog!!
While we were shoveling, this massive dog slash WOLF comes bounding up our driveway! At first I was freaked out because I was afraid of what Taylor would do. She’s not that great with other dogs and sometimes acts really funny. I love big dogs though and it takes a lot for me to be afraid of an animal. We had so much fun playing with her; turns out her name collar said Tundra. Cute name!! Especially fitting because of all the snow. She was so massive. I guess she had just escaped from a house up the street and eventually took off.

We spent Christmas Eve at my Aunt Lyla and Uncle Steve’s home.

I hope you had a blessed Christmas!
