Jing and Vince were married at Swan-E-Set Golf & Country Club this past Saturday, April 16. It was a gorgeous Spring day in every way and we were blessed with the best weather. The morning started at Jing and Vince’s family’s houses, conveniently located only two blocks from each other for getting ready photos. (I know, crazy, right?) An hour later, Vince and his groomsmen showed up at Jing’s home for a fun tradition – door games! The groom and his groomsmen have to complete a series of challenges before Vince can see his bride inside.

After a tea ceremony at Vince’s family home, we made the drive to Maple Ridge out to the gorgeous Swan-E-Set Golf & Country Club. Jing changed dresses and we staged First Look photos behind the beautiful venue. Loved spending a half hour capturing portraits of Jing and Vince together before wedding party photos, as well. The ceremony was indoors, in front of Swan-E-Set’s gorgeous windows looking out upon the golf course. I loved Jing and Vince’s personalized vows and the words spoken over them by a few (not just one!) of their pastor friends. A beautiful, meaningful ceremony.

Taking all their portraits pre-ceremony meant Jing and Vince had lots of time to talk with their guests during the cocktail hour (yay!) before making their official entrance into the reception. I love how laid back the reception was – guests happily chatted with their tables, got to know new friends and enjoyed a fabulous dinner. After an hour of dinner, it was speeches and dancing the night away.

Jing + Vince, thank you both so much for having me at your wedding! And for the amazing gift bags of candy you gave my second shooter and I. You made my Sunday less healthy… but more enjoyable. Thank you! I appreciate your sweet note and thoughtfulness so much.

The door games begin…

Jing’s family had set up an iPad and her Dad was downstairs Facetiming all of the games to her so she could be an active participant in it all. Haha! I loved this.

There are so many stunning locations for photos on the Swan-E-Set grounds. Although I’ve photographed at the same venue quite a few times… it’s always a welcome challenge to make every location look different. Loved this set in particular:
