During the month of April, I have been photographing a couple portrait sessions for The School Sessions, a fundraiser my husband Randy and I created back in 2014. We’re raising money to build a school in Haiti! Clients hire photographers for a portrait session but instead of paying the photographer they donate the money directly to the project.
I’m thankful for Randy’s business partner Jonas and his wife Kristina and two boys, Kai and Milo for donating their session fee to Haiti. I met up with their cute family a couple weeks ago in Tsawwassen by the beach on a chilly, windy day to capture new family photos for them. Enjoy!
This is Milo! He’s so cute!
I secretly love the challenge of photographing young children in family photo shoots! The key is to keep them moving and playing and laughing… scattered with “okay, now everyone look here!” in between all the fun. A run turned into a fall which turned into smiles. Haha!
We found this amazing hut on the beach that made for some great shelter!
I always love taking time to photograph ‘just Mom and Dad’ during family sessions too!
Once again, thank you guys so much for your donation to our project! We appreciate you and I loved taking these images! For those readers wondering, yes, I would love to photograph your family photos! Send me a note at jamie[at]jamiedelaine.com for pricing and details.
These are such lovely shots! And those little ones are adorable :)
