Shangri-La Vancouver Wedding Photos

This past Saturday, Gwen and Bernabe were married on the terrace at the Shangri-La Hotel in Vancouver with a reception to follow! However, the morning started in West Vancouver at Gwen’s family home, up on the beautiful hills of the North Shore. In the living room where Gwen was getting ready with her bridesmaids, the windows and doors were open, letting in the warm summer air! Gwen looked absolutely beautiful and was all smiles from the moment we arrived. Shortly after, Bernabe and his groomsmen arrived for the traditional door games. The groom needs to ‘barter’ with the bridesmaids with money, as well as complete a series of challenges before can see his bride! ;) It’s pretty fun.

Following the door games and tea ceremony, we stopped in beautiful Stanley Park for some photos of Gwen and Bernabe. Gwen had a cool idea of having ‘two looks’ for her wedding day, so Gwen had a gorgeous Grecian-inspired dress for the Stanley Park portraits. After portraits at the park, it was off to the Shangri-La Hotel to prepare for their ceremony! Gwen and Bernabe exchanged vows on the terrace with a view of the city while friends and family looked on. Their reception was fun-filled, with warm speeches and kind words and excellent food. Gwen and Bernabe, I’m so happy for you two! Thanks for having me as your photographer!
