Marriott Pinnacle Hotel Wedding

Jennifer and Daniel were married on Saturday, August 13th in a Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish in Vancouver. Following their afternoon ceremony, they celebrated with friends and family at a dinner reception at the beautiful Marriott Pinnacle Hotel downtown. At the beginning of the day, we greeted Jennifer, her four bridesmaids and Jennifer’s mom in the presidential suite of the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. The space was completely gorgeous! So many large windows, two bathrooms, two dining spaces, bedroom and a living room – the best case scenario for shooting details, basically. ;) I loved the bridesmaids long blush pink dresses and Jennifer’s lace strapless gown with buttons up the back. (Jen’s mom dress was incredible, too… I wanted it!)

After toasting with champagne in celebration of the ‘dress moment’ finally arriving, the bridesmaids helped Jennifer into her wedding dress at last. I always love photographing this moment! The church ceremony at the Parish was beautiful and full of meaning for both sides of their family. The priest also kept the crowd laughing quite a few times throughout the mass – a bonus! For portraits, we braved the heat and sought out a bit of the breeze coming off the water in Coal Harbour. The wedding party looked perfect together! Love these images we captured.

The reception decor by Upright Decor was brilliant. The colours chosen complimented the ballroom of the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel so well, while still making the space feel personalized and unique to J+D’s wedding. I loved the low floral centrepieces, the incredible flower ‘runner’ on the head table, the orchids that acted like curtain ties on the backdrop behind the head table and the gold chairs! Too many beautiful details to name. I loved photographing this space.
