Rachelle [Part 2]
Here’s the second and final part of Rachelle Kostelyk‘s session! What a fun time we had. If you missed it, check out the first part of the session here as well as the post about the jewellery featured in her session. Once again, I’ve posted way too many images because I just couldn’t choose. I think the multiple outfits makes it harder–I have a hard enough time keeping it to 20 photos or so on a wedding day when it’s the same outfit all day long! Enjoy and have a beautiful weekend. P.S. Remember it was seriously at a freezing temperature the whole time we were shooting! Rachelle was incredible.

Rachelle is a pianoplayer, so this mural was perfect!

I love shooting indoors when there is lots of natural light. And I love coffeshops. So this location was pretty much a win-win for me.

How sweet are these doors?

I love this wide angle:

Legwarmers are definitely coming back in. These are SO cute!

And just for fun, a shot of Rachelle+I, as well as a few with Rachelle+Kerianne and Kerianne doing her assisting/wardrobe thing. :)

I LOVE all these. I can’t decide which is my favorite because they are absolutely beautiful but I think I LOVE the colors in the 2nd one Can I ask what lens in particular you used the most in this session? They are all so crisp and awesome.
@Courtney – I used my new Canon 35mm f/1.4L lens pretty much the whole last part of the session. :) Maybe used the 50mm f/1.4 for a few, but the 35mm mainly!!
Jamie, this is one of the strongest portrait sets I remember seeing in months! The images are sensational – I love all the outfits, I couldn’t love more the way you include such interesting backgrounds in the images to give them so much atmosphere, and she always looks really very… comfortable with you. Loving the f/1.4 throughout the shoot too! Absolutely fantastic!
I remember you talking about how cold it was, but you can’t tell in the pics! Your poses are so natural with a cool edge to them!
LOVE the outfits!!! that one with the piano keys is AWESOME!!
Great Shots, Jaime! Keep up the great work.
LOVE THEM! This is by far one of my favorite sessions of yours, you can for sure a difference with your new L-series, these are crispier than ever!
Wow! What strong portraits! No wonder you couldn’t decide because they are all so fantastic. And I’m lovin’ the jewellry and wardrobe. Where did you take these? Vancouver?
Fun shots! Personally I wish there were more with her smiling, she has a beautiful smile, but I know the whole fashion trend is no smiling…
looks like you guys had a blast!!
Loving these shots!! Can’t imagine how your fingers were in the freezing cold…brrrrr!! A little bird told me you figured out off camera lighting, heres hoping you post some flash brilliance on here soon :)
The piano mural is my favorite. And by the was congratulations on your website.
Jamie,
The images are beautifully infused with light and color. They are beautiful. What are your favorite post-production tools (actions, filters, etc.) that you mostly used on these?
Is this the new Canon 5D?
Sorry so many questions but I’m still learning.
Thank you. Congratulations.
@Lilianna – Thank you! No, I shoot with the old Canon 5D, not the Mark II. I use my own actions I have created in PS. :)
uuum, PSHyeah I did!!!
We def have to run together in the morning! In warm, sunshine joy :D
Wow, I love all of her outfits! And there is something about those portraits in the coffee shop…. love the light! You did a great job with these.
Wow nice and inspiring. Good pictures!
Great work. LOVE the series in the alley.
