A few years ago, I met Kaitlin through my friend Kelsey when we were both bridesmaids in her wedding! (Kelsey was then a bridesmaid in our wedding day, as well, only nine months later.) Through Kelsey and her husband Jon, we got to know Kaitlin and Jon a bit more with the six of us hanging out a couple of times. This year, Kaitlin and Jon moved within a 5 minute drive of us (instead of 25 minutes) and now we go to the same church, too. We really have enjoyed their friendship and even went away for two weekends together this summer. We were so excited for them when they told us they were pregnant last winter! And in September, they had their first baby, Ava. She’s so cute and I was really happy to get to photograph their family together. Enjoy!

I love this one. Funniest thing about this set of photos is we kind of made our own ‘natural light studio’ in their space. Jon moved the bed from their bedroom (which is quite dark) right in front of the big windows in their living room. It was perfect.

We had to attempt one photo with Brandi, their doggie, haha. Jon is holding a piece of bacon in his hand as a bribe. She’s trying very, very badly to behave long enough to eat.
