langley engagement session: ashley+jon

September 29, 2010

two years ago, i photographed nathan & paula’s wedding on the sunshine coast. it was my first year and my very first summer photographing weddings. it was a celebration full of some amazing italian food, great ocean views and laughs. i remember this couple dancing on the dance floor at the end of the day, she had gorgeous long blonde hair and he probably had a tie wrapped around his head. ;) he says that’s his specialty. the couple was ashley & jon, and jon is nathan’s brother.

two years later, i received an email from ashley saying she loved my work, her & jon were getting married and wanted me to shoot their 2011 wedding! i love photographing more than one wedding in a family–it’s so fun to see some of the same siblings and parents and guests again. ashley & jon started dating “a long time ago” which equals about eight years. even before nathan & paula dated! we had a crazy weather day on monday, rained all day, only to break with a slight sprinkle for the one hour we shot. the air was humid as all get out but we made it work. ashley & jon drove from vancouver to langley for their session! thanks so much you two, i loved the location, loved the images we got. :)
