Carrie and John had a very specific vision for their wedding day: only their closest family and friends and a reception that prioritized people over events/schedule! They had a laid-back wedding day until Carrie started getting ready in the early afternoon. We started photographing at 3:30pm at the beautiful Opus Hotel (those awesome pink walls!) and the ceremony began at Brix & Mortar Restaurant around 5:00pm.
John greeted guests and family as he waited anxiously for Carrie to arrive. When the music begin, you could see the joy and surprise on John’s face when Carrie entered through the dramatic black curtains at Brix & Mortar in her blush pink ballgown. It was perfect. Carrie and John read their vows, the same words, at the exact same time to one another. So cute!
The party was immediately following the ceremony, starting with a post-ceremony champagne toast with all their guests. Appetizers and more drinks were served immediately! Guests enjoyed a slow family-style dinner without interruption from speeches or program. Carrie and John had lots of time to engaged in conversation with all their guests, exactly as they wanted.
Honoured to be their photographer! Enjoy Carrie & John’s Brix & Mortar Restaurant wedding photos.
