Linden Gardens Wedding Photos

When Lyanne and Kyle started planning their wedding day, nearly a year ago, they knew their family would be the most important part of the day. They have so many friends they love – but they decided on an intimate family-only (or super close friends that feel like family!) ceremony just outside of Penticton, where Lyanne’s mom lives. I was delighted to receive their inquiry in January of this year for September 8th, a Friday, because I had already booked a Saturday, September 9th in Penticton. It was truly meant to be.

Small weddings are a lot of fun to be a part of – every single person there is so special to the couple, I can’t imagine choosing only 29 guests! I love being able to memorize most of the names (I counted that night when I got home… I think I memorized 17 out of the 29. Not bad, right?) – and the feel of ‘family’ I get to enjoy. Lyanne and Kyle’s day was no exception! I started the morning with Kyle and his two groomsmen at a rental house in town, before driving up to Lyanne’s mom and step-dad’s home on the hill. Many of the family was gathered round and I loved the moment when Lyanne walked out to show off her beautiful gown and everyone’s reactions!

Their ceremony was in Kaleden, a town about twenty minutes south of Penticton. The venue was Linden Gardens, an absolutely gorgeous space. Pathways lead in every direction through curated, beautiful green gardens. There’s a lawn for ceremonies, for cocktail hours, and a hall for receptions (in the off-season.) It was truly stunning.

The evening was a joy–everyone was relaxed and soaking in this beautiful celebration in a perfect setting. String lights hung over the U-shaped reception table while guests enjoyed a perfect dinner by Flambe Catering. Lyanne and Kyle’s First Dance took place under the stars, while a cooler wind picked up and blew away the day’s humidity. I was there for a full hour and a half of dancing and Lyanne and Kyle’s guests were awesome to watch! I’m sure the dancing continued well after I left, as well. It was so great.

When I said goodbye to Lyanne and Kyle at the end of the night, it was pretty fun to say, “See you next weekend!” because that’s right, I’m capturing a few hours of their reception back home in the Vancouver area with all of their friends who couldn’t attend the small Penticton celebration.

P.S. Thank you to Kourtney & Dexter for this referral. Appreciate it so much!

PS. Lyanne and Kyle wanted photos with all their vendors, hehehe. So here I am!
