My schedule has been cleared for the next week and a half. All my emails and facebook messages and wall posts have been answered. My room has been cleaned and dusted. My dog has been fed and watered. My closet has been organized, first by colour and then by frequency of use. My shoes have been polished and now sit all shiny in ascending order of heel height.

Okay, so those last two are lies but thats on the to-do list for the month of May, I swear. I feel like I’ve been preparing to travel for the last week but I’m not going anywhere. Thankfully. I’m SO over packing–no more suitcases for me for another three weeks. Hmm, but when I think about what I’ve been preparing for, I’d actually rather just pack a suitcase. Tomorrow morning at nine o’ clock in the morning I’ll be drifting off to the count of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7… in the dentist chair.

My wisdom teeth have been trying to come in for over two years now and giving me a bunch of trouble so we’re going to get all four of those suckers outta there. I’ve known about this surgery for months but only found this tiny window of time from April 1 – 10th where I could afford to not work.

My mom bet me that I’d be back on the computer working away and answering emails by the second day–inside I secretly think she’s right–I’m desperately hoping I’ll have enough self-control to not work. My plan for the week is to eat sixty-five pints of Rice Dream Ice Cream (crazy good for non-dairy and non-soy eaters like me!), watch hopelessly romantic chick flicks (like P.S. I Love You for the fifth time) and stay in the same pair of pajamas and a hoodie for five days straight. It’s gonna be fab.

P.S. Chick flick recommendations anyone? Share.

Here’s a little sneakpeek of a session I had this morning of my eight-month-old cousin Caleb. More coming in the next few days if I’m feeling well enough to blog! :)

Good luck with your surgery - eat some ice cream for me! Mmm.Karen (Mikols) Bonar : ( 04.01.2009 - 16:20 ) Oh, and if you haven't seen it, Cassablanca. a MUST SEE.Karen (Mikols) Bonar : ( 04.01.2009 - 16:19 ) Well, when my teeth came out, I was all loopy .... so comedies are best for the first 6-ish hours. I watched "So I Married an Axe Murdrer" and "Monty Python" ... but after that, definitely chick flicks. A ton of great movies already listed ... Serendipity is FAB! Um .... and to go even older, Sliding Doors with Gweneth Paltrow. Oh, and Return to Me! Fantastic movie. And the new Phantom of the Opera. Just b/c I'm obsessed / it. :)heidi @ indy photography : ( 04.01.2009 - 16:01 ) you'll probably be exhausted and hopefully not in too much pain. hope everything goes well!Kellie : ( 04.01.2009 - 10:11 ) +1 on the movies already listed... but i will add Lake House to the list... Luckily for me, two of mine have come in perfect so far! Yay! I (very pathetically) know way too many good romantic comedies... Love Actually, Notting Hill, Notebook (AHH!), Bridget Jones, Four Weddings & A Funeral! (Oh god, I'm way too Hugh Grant obsessed!)Katelyn : ( 04.01.2009 - 07:23 ) Oh, Little Women! (1995 version) Definitely a must see and a must read. All time favorite!Katelyn : ( 04.01.2009 - 06:43 ) Anna and the King. Miss Potter is a must if you haven't seen it. I love that movie! And of course, anything with Cary Grant! :-) (I won't list out all my favorites of Cary Grant--unless you want me to--because the list could on for quite awhile) Oh, and The Holiday.Cait : ( 04.01.2009 - 05:51 ) Well no wisdom teeth out yet but I do have some good advice. Chill. Don't think about doing anything for a couple days. Some people say it's not that bad, others take weeks to recover. I depends on the person. I think you'll feel able to do stuff pretty quickly but just chill. Mmk? It will be good for you to NOT be productive for once. ;) The Notebook Miss Potter Pride and Prejudice - either: I like them both. Emma - that's a good one Sweet Home Alabama and stuffjulie g : ( 04.01.2009 - 05:20 ) You'll do fine! I had mine out 4 years ago, and i was fine by the 3rd day.. you'll do wonderfully! enjoy being pampered.. and P.S. I loveyou? I've never seen this.. hmmm.. date night with hubby soon!.. heh heh... heh..Lydia : ( 04.01.2009 - 05:09 ) I've never gotten my wisdom teeth out, so no sage advice there. Enjoy your time off! You'll be up and running and no time!Christie Wray : ( 04.01.2009 - 04:31 ) Oh my WORD Jamie - his EYES. You are incredible.Tracy Anne : ( 04.01.2009 - 03:49 ) Don't sweat it Jamie! I had all four of my wisdom teeth out a few years ago -- and I wasn't even put completely under! It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. P.S. I could watch The Notebook over and over and over...Chantel : ( 04.01.2009 - 03:49 ) You've Got Mail is a personal fav, opportunities arise quite frequently to quote lines from there. Unfortunately Jared never knows what I am talking about. Good luck with the whole teeth thing, enjoy your rest!Tira J : ( 04.01.2009 - 00:50 ) Hi Jamie! I had all four wisdom teeth out when I was your age and I was literally eating hot dogs and corn chips the next day. It really isn't that bad. One recommendation I do have for you is to get a little syringe so you can clean out the little holes after you eat. We will be praying for you. Oh, and that little guy sure is handsome!
