Handmade Lovelies by Lauren
I pushed my way through the ridiculously crowded hallways of the MGM Grand, full of photographers waiting to get into Jessica Claire’s platform talk at WPPI. I walked into the bathroom and was greeted with a giant “JAMIE DELAINEEEEE!” and a massive smile and hug from Lauren Chapman as well as her friend Jessica Strickland. I had never met either of them before but I definitely blog-stalk religiously. These two are sweethearts and we talked each others ears off for the three minutes we had before rushing back into the crowed conference room. Lauren has one of the best smiles, well… ever, can pull off bright red lipstick like none other and has an incredibe fashion sense to boot. My kind of girl.
Lauren announced a couple of weeks ago, on her and her husband Robbie‘s photography blog, OpenField Photography, that she was launching a new business creating hair accessories and hair pieces called Handmade Lovelies. I was SO excited for her, because this woman has some incredible talent. From her etsy store description, “all lovelies are one-of-a-kind and are made by me…whenever possible, i try to use recycled materials, which include great finds from antique stores and all my favorite flea markets.” Awesome hey?
I sent Lauren an @reply on twitter to congratulate her for launching her new business and the next thing I know, she’s mailing me a hairpiece! What a ridiculously kind offer; she’s TOO much! It came in the mail last week and I’m just in looooove. Thanks again Lauren!

LOVE IT! Lauren is awesome and she is so freaken creative! She made me this flower bouquet of buttons that she had collected over the years, it was awesome. We have it in our ranch and it always reminds me of her when I walk past it. :)
