Christie : portraits

Apr 23

Christie, Christie, Christie blows me away. She grew up in beautiful British Columbia until she was thirteen, when her parents and her four siblings moved to Haiti together. She’s spent five years living in the country she now calls home, and will forever look at, as home. I have loved getting to know Christie and am so blessed to call her friend. Her family has this incredibly tight relationship and I always love reading all their little facebook comments back and forth to each other. (Oh, c’mon, everybody facebook stalks. Don’t judge.)

We have had some of the greatest talks about life and love and dating and North American culture and this girl has so much wisdom. I am so excited for her future and the heart God has placed in her for Haiti and for Africa as well. This woman is going to impact the world in a big way. She’s spending the first half of her summer on her uncle’s boat working (more specifically, fishing? Chris, I have no idea. Fill me in! I forget.) I love how Christie is ridiculously gorgeous, but just such a natural, carefree, tomboy in other ways. It’s refreshing. Have a fabulous summer, Chris. Love you!

Pshh, um, my legs are obviously way longer. ;)

Favourite.

I kinda like this. It’s not a common angle for a portrait.

Ohhh so sweet.

Happy Thursday everyone! I’m headed out the door in about 20 minutes to spent about thirty hours in Seattle with two of my wonderful church friends. We’re going to be shopping on the way down (Outlet Malls, hollllla!! We just don’t get those deals up here in Can-a-der!) and then spending the night before coming home Friday afternoon!

Get in touch with Jamie or view her online portfolio.
