I’ve been planning a week-long trip to California for a while. The plan was to road-trip from San Francisco to Santa Barbara with Kristen Leigh and Sarah Barlow for a week. When I connected with a couple named Jason and Kara on facebook (well, I had met Jason quickly in Vegas–he works for Showit) who live in Fresno, I decided to go to Fresno for 3 days at the beginning of my trip. Why not right? Life is for living! Off I went. More on these two crazy newlyweds tomorrow.

A photographer that Kara second-shoots for occasionally, Jasen Master, heard I was going to be in the Fresno area and asked me to photograph his family photos! I was so happy to! So much fun to meet him and his wife and their two children. I was seriously honoured to capture this family as they’ve never had professional photos taken of all of them together. Jasen is a photographer so he wants the best of the best to photograph his family and he chose me. :) Make sure you go and check out his website and blog. The little kiddos weren’t always ready to co-operate so I just photographed them doing their thing in the cool fountain.

Their six-year old daughter Hannah is ADORB.

There was a blazing hot sun that day and I think the temperature hovered around 105-110 degrees. Craziness! Some of the hottest heat I’ve felt, but after being in Arizona a couple of weeks ago, I don’t really mind. You just get used to the feeling of burning flesh. ;)

P.S. Jasen (the photographer, not to be confused with Kara’s husband Jason) and Kara love to make fun of each other. Harshly. Haha! We were bugging Jasen because he NEVER looks at Kara’s photos she second-shoots or uses them… but seriously: value your second-shooters, silly! You need to look through the photos that Kara second-shoots for you and use them. She’s pretty cool… Jamie Delaine will vouch for that. This is proof.
