Vancouver Portrait Photography : Paatan Family
School is my connection to this family: although I never met Karen while I was attending Pacific Academy and then Trinity Western University, she has worked at both! I love random connections. They heard about my photography through a family at P.A. and contacted me for a summer family portrait session over two months ago.
I love photographing kids, especially toddlers. Karen and her husband Jeff’s two children, Mikaela and Melea were adorable. So adorable: age two and one. They were a little shy at first but I love sitting back and observing kids in between photographing them. We shot this session in one of my favourite areas of the Lower Mainland, Fort Langley–love that community. Mikaela and Melea’s grandmother came along for a few photos too. Love the energy in this shot. We could only get Melea smiling when she was running. ;) This girl has a future in track and field, I tell ya!
