This Isn’t Work. I Promise.

Oct 2

Thank you ALL for the incredible, amazing, kind words you’ve showered upon me for the last 48 hours. I have to say, I’m feeling something akin to complete exhaustion after finishing all of that work! But oh it’s so worth it. :) My brand now makes me smile. If your brand or website or blog doesn’t make you smile: change that. Don’t settle. The hard work is definitely worth it.

This may be news to some, but I’ve actually been on vacation the past nine days, one day to go–but really, nothing’s changed around here as far as how much I work, because I’m a little bit addicted to my work. Like today. Before I went to bed, I told myself I wasn’t going to check emails or blog or do anything because it was the last day of vacation. Tomorrow we fly home from Montreal to Vancouver. Well, here I am. I’m in bed. Blogging.

I compromised though: I’m blogging travel photos. That’s allowed: right? Right!? Thank you. I thought so. Here are some of my favourite images over the past few States we’ve visited. I’ve enjoyed taking these incredible, but now I have to brainstorm how to fit any more framed photographs on my bedroom walls… I’ll update ya on how that one turns out. Maybe I could make photograph FLOORING. Like tiles. With photos. Yep.

Beautiful Lancaster, PA.

Philadelphia, PA — (A city I fell in LOVE with. Almost as much as I love Boston. Perhaps more. It’s a tie. I can’t decide. And no, it’s not simply because Reid Rosenthal resides there. I swear. ;) And no, unfortunately I didn’t run into him. Dangit!)

Brooklyn, New York & New York City

Vermont.

  19. Jamie Delaine:

@Donya and @Jennifer – Most of these photos, well, up until NYC, were shot with the Canon 35mm f/1.4L lens. Then, I dropped it in Times Square and it broke. Sooo, the rest of them are shot with the 50mm f/1.2 or the 24mm f/2.8 lens. :) I hope that helps!

  20. donya luana:

Thanks so much, Jamie! And sorry about your 35mm…

  21. Jennifer Brotchie:
