Couples Portraits: Stephanie and Kevin
Stephanie & Kevin recently celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary a few months ago. Ten year is a pretty great milestone: your first decade as a couple. The first of many decades you’ll take on together. Growing into your eleventh year of marriage must feel like what it’s like to turn thirteen and become a teenager. Nothing “feels” different: but it is… A different phase of your life, a different stage of your marriage.
I was so honoured to capture these two as they are. Now. Ten years of ups and downs, and of joys and struggles and two beautiful girls later… they are still Stephanie and Kevin, in love. I’ve mentioned before on the blog, but something I’ve always wanted to do with my future husband is to have photos every year of the two of us. To take the time to capture the love between a husband and a wife throughout your marriage is equally as important as family photos. If not more. ;)

We scored this sweet spot in this barn. We kinda just trespassed our way through and then the owner came out and shouted from her front porch, “I LOVE IT!!!! Keep going!!” ;) CUTE. The light in the barn was fabulous.

Beautiful pictures. I love anniversary pictures. It’s great to have them taken at an engagement session, but to see people so in love after years of life and hard work, it makes it that much more beautiful.
Beautiful Jamie! And this couple is still SMOKING HOT after 10 years!!! I totally agree with you on the photos as a couple thing. I’m trying to arrange for Betsy or Bobbi to snag some photos of Nick and I in 2010! It’s been 4 years since we were photographed together!!!
