Nothing but love for yesterday

Dec 3

Good morning beautiful world on this beautiful Thursday morning. Seeing as it’s close to midnight on Wednesday evening, I’m kind of cheating. But I’m sure by the time I publish this post tomorrow morning it will be beautiful. ;) I have a packed day today, full of some fun, fun stuff but before I rush off to all of that: it’s time for me to pop in and say hello. So hello! Yesterday was wonderful. I just had a wonderful day. And I took photos throughout that day! This blog is going to be very conversational… and narrative. Just a warning.

First of all, I woke up and looked outside to the coldest morning of the year… -4*C, or about 28*F I guess! It looked like this.

I couldn’t run… because it was freezing and slippery and cold and I didn’t want to slip and break my head open. So I walked back from the front porch to our foyer and saw this Christmas tree.

Then I went into our family room and saw this Christmas tree.

I decided to do tae-bo in the basement before leaving for a day with my cousin Lacey in Bellingham! We met at Starbucks where I had a grande decaf no-room americano and a low-fat fruit bar. So good. We got to Bellingham at noon, spend the afternoon leisuring walking through the old part of town… browsing some sweet vintage stores. Such great stuff, but I didn’t end up buying a thing! A blast though.

We tried on some hats. Lacey bought one. I have two hats and one of them I am obsessed with (my slouchy grey… not sure what you call it? beret? floppy hat?) and wear constantly so… my head can only have so many outfits.

We had lunch at a cute little bakery and deli. Good soup, good salads, good sandwiches. We talked about our businesses, accomplishing our goals, buying real estate, taking pictures and relationship. It was awesome. Then we drove to Fairhaven, WA. Beautiful.

We found this great field and the setting winter sun was incredible. Winter sun is way better than summer sun. Gorgeous. I put Lacey in front of my camera and grabbed some shots that I love. But I’m going to make you wait for them. There’s one on my facebook page. :) I taught Lacey quickly how to focus on my camera and she took the following photos. You did good, Lace! She liked my boots a lot and said they reminded her of a little mallard… a little duck. “Oh, I lost Jamie, OH WAIT! There’s the yellow! I FOUND HER!” She’s funny. ;)

I came home to a house I love, a mom I love, a brother I love and ten minutes later we drove to a restaurant I love to meet a Dad I love for dinner. Then a friend I love called me and we went to a church I love and worshipped a God I love. I loved yesterday.
