jennifer & remo found each other on the wonderful worldwide web. after browsing each other’s profiles, chatting on the phone once, they met for the first time in june 2009. they knew what they had found was a very good thing indeed. jennifer & remo run a fashion blog together called prairie girl in the city [jen grew up in saskatchewan, don’t get more prairie than that!] — jen manages the contest, remo helps with the business-side of things. i knew the fashion at their wedding would be a treat to photograph and it didn’t disappoint. i was in love with jen’s wedding dress, purchased from bisou bridal and her badgley mischka shoes — remo looked snazzy as well, i loved the quirky twist on the standard groom attire.

after a traditional church ceremony [and an afternoon of photos amongst some of the most beautiful colours we’ve seen this year] it was off to the reception. remo’s family is originally from italy and a few guests flew all the way to vancouver just to be here. so incredible. to pay homage to his heritage, the meal was a traditional italian six-course meal. after a fabulous dinner, jen & remo celebrated on the dance floor to the music of their phenomenal wedding band: cease & desist.
