Our Love Story
sandi and david set the bar for style in their funky granville island engagement session and their brock house restaurant wedding did not disappoint. sandi and her two bridesmaids prepped for the day in a gorgeous fairmont pacific rim hotel room — the second photo below is the view from the balcony. incredible. i was in love with sandi’s flowy dress from something blue and her pale pink christian louboutin heels were a perfect complement. the pale pink and black polka dot bridesmaids dresses were purchased from mod cloth and the groomsmen’s polka dot bowties from the bow tie club. sandi’s hair and makeup was done to perfection by annie chang of AC makeup — she was a joy to work with! so sweet.
i’ve known my friend josh for ten years now. we went to high school together & became closer friends after graduation when i moved churches. i adore his whole family: four wonderful kids, the sweetest parents. a few years ago, i went camping with their whole family and some other friends. his family’s home is always open, they have huge hearts of generosity. can’t say enough about how much i love them! a year and a half ago, through our church, josh started to notice brianna. when they eventually started dating, it was one of those “you mean they weren’t dating already?” kinda situations. brianna is truly a wonderful match for josh — i have loved getting to know her through him! she’s beautiful, incredibly talented, servant-hearted. i am excited about having these two in my life for years to come.
sarah & nick met in ontario while attending medical school. in her first year, sarah ran a photography auction, to which nick submitted some photos. they met up in person to confirm some details and sarah was immediately drawn to him. her first thoughts included, he’s cute with a really intense gaze, that’s making me uncomfortable so i’m gonna laugh at his ridiculously long/messy hair. the next time sarah and nick crossed paths was at a “heads for cure” fundraiser, where nick shaved his “ridiculously long/messy hair” to raise money for cancer research. the conversation turned to running — a passion of both sarah and nick — as sarah had recently run a marathon and nick was training for his first. finally, nick emailed to ask sarah if they could “hang out” some time — and that hangout turned out to be a first date!
