I'm a wedding and portrait photographer living in Vancouver, BC with my husband Randy. I photographed my first wedding when I was only 17 years old - and I've photographed over 200 weddings since! I am an avid bookworm, lover of green tea, pretty nail polish & my Labradoodle Harley. Thanks for visiting!

Our Love Story
Growing up in our home we had two music choices: Country or Christian. (Except for those times when Dad would blast “You Sexy Thing” by Barry White out of his computer speakers and I thought it was the greatest, funniest thing. And those times when Mom would go grocery shopping and we’d be waiting in his car. “All Shook Up” by Elvis Presley was a favourite. My two non-Christian, non-Country memories.) I listened to a lot of Point of Grace, Newsboys, Bethany Dillon, the “Shout to the Lord” days of Hillsong–classic Christian artists. When I wasn’t mouthing the lyrics to “Step Up to the Microphone” (Christians growing up in the 90s, you’ll get that reference. If you don’t, count yourself fortunate) I was watching the CMT Top 20 Music Video countdown.
This week has been a “sit down at your desk and don’t get up until it’s lunch and then get lunch quickly, watch a few minutes of HGTV, put your dishes in the dishwasher, splash your face with water and get back to your desk” week. I’ve been working diligently on a massive slew of projects. There are so many behind-the-scenes components of running a business that truly set a remarkable business apart from a “ho-hum” one. The goal? Ho-hum to remarkable. (I am just really enjoying writing ho-hum.)
I love to photograph albums before they are shipped out the door to my clients… that is, if I remember to! Thankfully, for Carly and Theo’s Performance Works Wedding on Granville Island, I did. :) Loved so many things about May 25, 2012–first of all, Carly and Theo are fun. And good looking. And they had a good looking bridal party, including past bride of mine Tess. They got married in a gorgeous church and had a reception at one of my Top 5 favourite Vancouver venues: Performance Works. The day was relaxed, the weather? Perfect. And the party? A good one. Enjoy!
The people I meet are the coolest part about being a wedding photographer. Even the simple evolution from a couple on the day of their engagement session to a couple on the day of their wedding is neat. I love hearing all the plans and preparation for the months to come, and then showing up on the wedding day: preparation behind, only celebration remains!
