I'm a wedding and portrait photographer living in Vancouver, BC with my husband Randy. I photographed my first wedding when I was only 17 years old - and I've photographed over 200 weddings since! I am an avid bookworm, lover of green tea, pretty nail polish & my Labradoodle Harley. Thanks for visiting!

Our Love Story
Jennifer emailed me a month ago inquiring about my availability for a Wednesday wedding in Stanley Park. It wouldn’t be my first Wednesday wedding, but after a phone call with Jennifer, I discovered it would be a different first: the smallest wedding to date. Jennifer and Bruno met through work almost seven years ago in Lake Louise. They’ve been together for five and a half years now, and live together as a family with Bruno’s two beautiful kids in Canmore. A few months ago, on a trip to Vancouver, Bruno took Jennifer on a walk through Stanley Park. He stopped on Third Beach (where these photos were taken!) and asked Jennifer to be his wife. She said yes.
Rebecca & Nick met twelve and a half years ago, in February 2000, at a college formal dance. Rebecca remembers Nick’s “cute accent” and that he was “a good dancer.” Since they starting dating later that year, Rebecca & Nick have graduated college, completed medical school in Vancouver and are now both practicing medicine back home in Ontario. This couple has traveled the world together (Cambodia, British Virgin Islands, Hong Kong, Italy, England) and love adventuring and being outdoors together.
The morning following Rebecca & Nick’s Tofino engagement session (right outside Middle Beach Lodge) was the start of their wedding day! Now, I haven’t photographed enough Tofino weddings to declare a “trend” (only two!) but here’s my inkling. Couples that choose Tofino for their destination wedding are low-key. You can’t choose Tofino and expect a sunny day. You’ll be disappointed. Tofino is a wet, overcast, damp, heavy climate. A true West Coast rainforest. You’re probably going to get a little soggy on your wedding day. And you’re going to be traipsing through forests and on beaches for photos. (That being said, none of this proved true for the actual wedding. It was the best weather day of the year-incredible. A few Vancouver-Islanders I’ve talked to have been to Tofino upwards of 30 times and seen weather like this once. Once!)
I’m back in Tofino, one of the most magical, surreal places on earth. Just one of the many, many reasons British Columbia is the best place to live. Canada is the best country… and I live in the best province. This is my second trip to “the ends of the earth” and today will be my second time photographing a wedding here. My first trip was two years ago for Joanna and Alex’ Middle Beach Lodge Wedding, which was subsequently featured in print in Destinations Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine. Today is Rebecca and Nick’s Middle Beach Lodge wedding. A big thank you to the wedding coordinator for recommending my work to Rebecca and Nick. And a thank you to this lovely couple for trusting the coordinator’s “she’s the very best” word. ;) I was very excited yesterday morning to make the trek of 7ish hours (driving-ferry-driving) again.
