I'm a wedding and portrait photographer living in Vancouver, BC with my husband Randy. I photographed my first wedding when I was only 17 years old - and I've photographed over 200 weddings since! I am an avid bookworm, lover of green tea, pretty nail polish & my Labradoodle Harley. Thanks for visiting!

Our Love Story
A few weeks ago, my boyfriend’s company, RIA Contracting, finished their renovation of Open Door Church in Maple Ridge, BC. It was a big job, renovating both the exterior and interior spaces. The transformation is amazing. Seeing as I photographed the project… thought I’d share on my blog! ;) Before and afters are all in order, enjoy, and check out more of Randy’s work on their facebook page.
Hello, friends! Long time no write. I’ve been busy finishing up October’s weddings and engagement sessions and enjoying a handful of days away! On the first of November, I attended the Women of Faith Conference in Tacoma with my mom and some other friends. Two days later, we flew to Arizona and slept in, ate & sunned ourselves silly for the week. I’m back home to my favourite pastime – tying up all my loose ends from the wedding season. I love taking a breather and cleaning out my closet (and my boyfriend’s closet), and/giving away/trading in all of those now cleaned-out-clothes, doing an extra thorough cleaning on my house (and my boyfriend’s place) and googling/cooking new recipes together. It’s a great time of year. Feeling very blessed lately.
It was just getting to be that time. My other promotional video (filmed in Spring of 2011) was getting a little outdated. I wasn’t in that same office space anymore. I didn’t have that dog anymore. (Sounds terrible, but it’s true. Taylor died last year.) And heck, I haven’t ran anything over 5 kilometres in a long, long time. (Hoping to get my distance running legs back next year.) Although I still love my old video (it’s definitely still me!) I wanted a new video that allowed potential clients a glimpse into my wedding photography process. This video has a more mature feel – it’s calmer, it’s slower and I feel like it’s really genuine – always my goal.
Family portraits with little tots are so stinkin’ fun. I love this age. Andale & Nico hired me to capture some memories for them this October right in their neighbourhood of Deep Cove, a gorgeous area of North Vancouver. Andale and Nico met in their home country of South Africa and were married in 2008. Their little one, Zach, will be a year old in January and he was full of smiles and expressions. Honestly the happiest kid I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Thanks for a marvellous Thursday morning, you three!
