I'm a wedding and portrait photographer living in Vancouver, BC with my husband Randy. I photographed my first wedding when I was only 17 years old - and I've photographed over 200 weddings since! I am an avid bookworm, lover of green tea, pretty nail polish & my Labradoodle Harley. Thanks for visiting!

Our Love Story
As my mom hurried around the house stacking plates and mugs in the dishwasher, wiping down the countertops and grabbing her purse (yes, she really did clean the kitchen before we left for the ceremony) Kristen and I stood in our high heels on the driveway. “I am excited to just get there! I wish our wedding venue was five minutes away and not an hour away! I want it all to start!” We sat in the back seat, my Dad driving and my Mom in the passenger seat beside him. I don’t quite remember what we talked about but I do remember sitting crossed legged, my heels kicked off. I was thrilled with my choice of dress. “I’m sitting cross-legged. What other bride sits cross-legged on the way to her wedding? This is great.”
Something Randy and I were most looking forward about being married was being able to go away for a weekend together. While we were engaged, we were hanging out with our friends Kelsey and Jon and the Oregon Coast came up. We decided to plan for a little trip in June. We picked a weekend and that was that. Back to wedding planning I went. It has been almost three months since Randy and I have been married (One year for Kelsey and Jon next month!) and it was so fun to spend a weekend away with friends.
Happy Monday, world! I am feeling very refreshed from a weekend away in Cannon Beach with my husband (who I basically hadn’t seen for a week because of our silly schedules) and two of our good friends. We took Friday off from work, drove six hours down to the Oregon Coast, enjoyed Friday night and Saturday there before driving 8 hours home Sunday. (Yes. Two hours of traffic. You’re annoying.) I’m back to work and looking forward to my first wedding of the “official season” this Saturday. (I had two weddings earlier this year, but quite spaced out!)
I love when clients become repeat clients. It’s the greatest honour. I’ve had clients in the past who have hired me to capture their engagement, wedding, maternity and newborn sessions. It’s neat to see brides after their wedding days! For Kathy, I was able to photograph her engagement to Joseph, her wedding day and now, a different kind of portrait session… with her sweet long-haired chihuahua (absolutely had to Google how to spell chihuahua) Jemma. Jemma and Kathy have been best friends since Kathy was sixteen years old. Kathy wanted some quality images to remember Jenna by in years to come!
