We had a quick family getaway this past weekend to Whistler. My Mom and Dad, my brother Brandon and his fiancé Jen and Randy and I drove up to Whistler after work on Friday afternoon in time to hang out together, enjoy good food and spend some quality time together. Life is increasingly busy and since moving out of my parent’s home when I got married, we obviously see each other less! Now that Brandon is moving out soon, my parents will be empty nesters and family time becomes even more valued. I love being all together.

Lorena & Simon are getting married!engagements, photography | July 18, 2014
I photographed the adorable Lorena & Simon back in April as part of my Saturday Spring Mini-Sessions. They brought along their two dogs to the shoot and I love dogs. I found these furry friends hilarious – the contrast between the two of them and how they “tolerated” one another. Hah! Spring is such a gorgeous time to photograph, I love seeing the blossoms in the background of these photos.
Remembering What We Made Togetherlife | July 14, 2014
We saw the ad on Craigslist, browsing for basement suites together on a whim. We weren’t engaged yet but the serious ring discussions had begun. The ad was for a basement walk-out suite in Langley, with a small cement patio laid outside the “front” (the house’s back) door before a modest patch of green grass. There were two large windows in the main living room space (as well as a window in the door), a smaller window in the kitchen and another large window in the bedroom. The photos online were promising. A clean, bright space, a place we could make our own. I wanted it.
Celebrating my sister-in-law-to-be!photography | July 11, 2014
Last weekend was a wedding weekend, all around, though, as a wedding photographer, these “wedding-filled” weekends should stop taking me by surprise. Friday evening, Randy and I attended the wedding of a good friend, Karina to her man Brandon! Loved spending time with Randy and witnessing these two friends become husband and wife. The next day was the wedding of Meagan and James at Fraser River Lodge. The best. On the following evening, Sunday, thirty women gathered to celebrate Jen, my brother’s fiancé and my sister-in-law-to-be!
