I'm a wedding and portrait photographer living in Vancouver, BC with my husband Randy. I photographed my first wedding when I was only 17 years old - and I've photographed over 200 weddings since! I am an avid bookworm, lover of green tea, pretty nail polish & my Labradoodle Harley. Thanks for visiting!

Our Love Story
This is a personal project of mine, one that will likely stretch for the next year. I want to write our love story, in detail, so many years from now I can remember what drew us to one another. The introduction of Forge can be found here and Part One can be found here. Part Two can be found here. This is Part Three.
Happy Monday! I’m sitting at my desk listening to JohnnySwim’s new Christmas album (go buy it!), finishing up my second cup of green tea of the morning and snacking on some dark chocolate. It’s a beautiful and bright day outside my living room windows, the sun shining through a sparse orange-leaved tree on our front lawn. I pulled out my parka after breakfast for a walk with my mom and her dogs and have been rocking one of my knit headbands to keep my ears warm all morning. Happy winter! I love this season and everything it entails.
It’s always an amazing surprise when I find out my photography and/or business has been featured in a magazine. Last week was no exception, when photographer and columnist Donal Doherty emailed me to say I was featured in Photo Professional Magazine! Photo Professional Magazine is the U.K.’s leading photography magazine and Donal featured my new website, designed by Promise Tangeman of GoLiveHQ, as one of the best photography websites.
Traditionally, a bride and groom see one other for the first time as the doors of the church opened… but as the years have passed, weddings have become less and less traditional. For example, less than half of my clients are even married in churches! (I wasn’t!) And more brides and grooms are choosing to stray from tradition and choose a First Look.
