I'm a wedding and portrait photographer living in Vancouver, BC with my husband Randy. I photographed my first wedding when I was only 17 years old - and I've photographed over 200 weddings since! Our Love Story
Vivian and Alex met online three years ago and after a week of exchanging emails, decided to meet for their first date at Chapters! They hit it off right away and knew they had a special love together. I first met Vivian when she was a bridesmaid in Allison and Patrick’s wedding. Shortly after Allison’s wedding, Vivian contacted me about her engagement and upcoming wedding! Vivian and Alex are on the shy side and knew they wanted a small, intimate wedding with only a few guests: the people who mattered most to them.
Sarah and Mason met eight summers ago, at a mutual friend’s party. Over the course of the evening, Sarah and Mason sat next to one another and started chatting about their newly-discovered similar taste in music. They shared a cab fare home to their parents’ homes across town… and thus began a summer of hanging out together. When summer ended and Mason was set to return to Toronto for school, both were a little sad at the conclusion of their time together. A year and a half of long-distance friendship later, Sarah decided to “take the plunge!” and moved her life to Toronto to be with Mason.
On Sunday, April 12th, The School Sessions initiative started by Randy and I happened! We learned a lot from our efforts this year and we’re excited to share with all of you the progress and our plan from here on out. I photographed three portrait sessions on Sunday, April 12th in support of this project. Tin and Bobo were my first session of the day!
Spring is here! My home is currently filled with tulips from our Sunday adventure and I’m pretty happy about it! Spring, besides tulips, also means engagement session season is upon us! And with all of those engagement photos being delivered to brides and grooms, couples are starting to think about designing invitations in time for summer weddings! Today, I want to walk photographers through some tips for capturing great engagement portraits for their couples and brides, some tips for choosing an engagement photo for your invitation after you’ve received your gallery.
