I'm a wedding and portrait photographer living in Vancouver, BC with my husband Randy. I photographed my first wedding when I was only 17 years old - and I've photographed over 200 weddings since! Our Love Story
I’m super excited to announce a fabulous giveaway by Love Jacqueline Designs (that link goes to her etsy store! go look!) – a custom address stamp or the “lovebirds” custom stamp. As a thank you gift Jac sent me my own gorgeous stamp – and a custom card! (P.S. Address is blurred for privacy.) Her packaging is darling and her hand-writing is so cute. Doesn’t surprise me.
Wowzers, I truly don’t think the reality of what happened Saturday has sunk in yet. After Randy and I got engaged, we came home to my parents and a few of their friends. When everyone had gone home, Randy and I stayed up until eleven talking with my mom with more details about his proposal. Sunday morning, Randy came over for breakfast and although I didn’t want to “rush” into wedding planning – when you have two mega-planners like us, it just kinda happens. We talked about all my ideas and I showed him photos of my vision. We went to church and out for lunch by ourselves and afterwards, stopped by a thrift store to pick up a few vases. (So it begins! Randy is the best. He’s so supportive.) In the afternoon, we ended up wedding planning and scheming (“What building materials will I need for every single project? We should make a weekly task list.” -See, Randy is perfect for me) allllll afternoon and evening.
Randy and I met over two years ago – through a mutual friend over dinner in Courtenay. Six months later, he moved to Langley and we attended the same church. It was another six months after that, Randy’s incredible character and qualities finally caught my eye. I needed to get to know this guy. We soon became real friends (not just acquaintances!) over the winter months. I flip-flopped between “liking” him and deciding “no, I don’t, we’re just friends” right up until April, when Randy told me “I like you.” The next month, we started our relationship and after a rocky start (I almost have our full story written – you might see it soon!) we fell in love. In October, we began to talk seriously about getting married: looking at rings online and talked vague dates for the wedding. (I already have 13 weddings booked for 2014. Try planning a wedding around that!) We even talked guest lists and possible venues – it was fun and crazy to think about – but I knew it was all hypothetical without a ring. ;)
Emily and Lane are a cute, cute couple. I photographed them when they were just newlyweds (Winter Snow) and when Emily was pregnant (but very few knew!) in the January Fog. And, this past summer, when they were expecting their first baby. Emily gave birth to Emerson on September 1st and she’s already a stylin’ girl. Just like her momma.
