I'm a wedding and portrait photographer living in Vancouver, BC with my husband Randy. I photographed my first wedding when I was only 17 years old - and I've photographed over 200 weddings since! I am an avid bookworm, lover of green tea, pretty nail polish & my Labradoodle Harley. Thanks for visiting!

Our Love Story
This is a personal project of mine, one that will likely stretch for the next year. I want to write our love story, in detail, so many years from now I can remember what drew us to one another. The introduction of Forge can be found here, originally it was titled Part One, but it really is more of an introduction. This is Part One.
Today is an exciting day! (It’s Friday the 13th! Just kidding. That is exciting in a dangerous kind of way but not the reason for writing.) Today is the day of my new website launch! Yay!
For three days this past week I was in California working with the very talented Promise Tangeman of Sitehouse Designs one-on-one. It was a long two days (fourteen hours on two computers at her kitchen table kind of long) but I love, love, love what we were able to create for my brand. It’s exactly what I was envisioning. I would have been hopeless at implementing these crazy ideas myself.
I came home from shooting Annik & Rob’s engagement session with a smile on my face and happy in my heart. (I learned that little line from Lindsey instructing Beckham after a time-out partway through our family session. “Smile on your face and happy in your heart, now!”) These two booked me via email earlier this year for their September destination wedding in Kelowna at Summerhill Pyramid Winery which meant our Friday evening session was the first chance we had to meet! The sun was shining, the temperature perfect, the beautiful farm fields calling our name. ;)
Jen & Brandon’s engagement session was exceptionally fun because… if you’re new around this blog, Brandon is my brother! He’s also the stellar album designer and image editor of The Album Design. [Jen, too! She works with him part-time.] A month ago, Brandon invited me to capture him asking Jen, his girlfriend of two and a half years, to be his wife. Be sure to check out those photos in Queen Elizabeth Park! They’ve set a wedding date and asked me to be a bridesmaid… and photographer. I know it sounds crazy, but I’m up for the challenge. I have a few other wedding photographer friends in the industry who’ve played two roles in one day [most recently, Katelyn James – you should follow her blog] so I have faith I can make it happen. [I’ll also have an amazing second shooter trailing me for the day.]
