UBC boathouse wedding: amanda&james

April 27 marked the start of my 2012 summer wedding season with Amanda and James tying the knot at the UBC Boathouse on a sunny Friday afternoon. This was actually their second wedding, with their first being a surprise ceremony on Christmas Eve! Amanda got ready at her mom’s house, looking breathtaking in her vintage pearl necklace, blush pink BCBG shoes, and a lace dress that fit her like a glove. The bridesmaids’ blush pink dresses were complemented by white sequined sweaters from H&M.

The ceremony took place at 3:00 pm on the back dock of the UBC Boathouse, with planes flying overhead from the nearby Vancouver International Airport. After the ceremony, we headed to Stanley Park for portraits, taking advantage of the incredible light and the park’s peaceful atmosphere. The reception at the UBC Boathouse featured fabulous food, a candy bar, vintage birdcage centerpieces, and lots of time spent with loved ones. It was truly a joy to witness both of your wedding days, Amanda and James. Wishing you all the best for your future together!
