Jen & Brandon’s engagement session was exceptionally fun because… if you’re new around this blog, Brandon is my brother! He’s also the stellar album designer and image editor of The Album Design. [Jen, too! She works with him part-time.] A month ago, Brandon invited me to capture him asking Jen, his girlfriend of two and a half years, to be his wife. Be sure to check out those photos in Queen Elizabeth Park! They’ve set a wedding date and asked me to be a bridesmaid… and photographer. I know it sounds crazy, but I’m up for the challenge. I have a few other wedding photographer friends in the industry who’ve played two roles in one day [most recently, Katelyn James – you should follow her blog] so I have faith I can make it happen. [I’ll also have an amazing second shooter trailing me for the day.]
Last week, we ventured out into some unique spots in Langley to capture their engagement session. I ended up finding some locations I’m super pumped about – and we made something out of some basic metal stairs and a field. I love the diversity to their images by the formal/modern look and then a more natural, relaxed outdoorsy setting. Enjoy!
Great shoes, right?
I love this one. “Now, look at each other.” They are really looking.
Pretty hey? I think so.
