3 Reasons To Get Married on a Friday

Reasons to Get Married on a Friday

The season of Christmas is upon us and that means engagement season. November and December are the two most popular months for proposals (I was engaged in November!) and that means, soon-to-be brides are venue hunting. Well, I already have venue hunting covered for you…

But what about your wedding date? Here are 3 Reasons to Get Married on a Friday.

Reasons to Get Married on a Friday

1. Your dream venue.

I don’t think anything will ever replace Saturday as the most preferred wedding day of the week. If you choose to get married on a Friday, that means an easier time finding your venue as you’ll be “fighting” with less brides for your date. Sometimes venues will even discount their rates compared to a Saturday. (It’s worth asking.)

2. Your pick of vendors.

Not only will you have an easier time finding your dream venue, but you’ll have an easier time booking your dream photographer, videographer, wedding planner, DJ, florist and the many other vendors involved in planning a wedding!

3. The weekend!

I choose to look at Friday weddings as a giant PRO for your guests (although if you look hard enough – there’s cons, too!) If you schedule your ceremony late enough (3:30pm at the earliest – so guests don’t have to miss more than a couple hours of work) your guests can party late into Friday night. The next day, a Saturday! Everybody loves a Saturday off to recoup and recover.
