Cristina and Josh were childhood friends who grew up on the same street together for a few years! When one of them moved away, they lost contact with each other as their lives moved onto high school and university. However years later, Cristina moved back into the same area where she grew up and was walking her dog at a riverside park.

Josh was also walking his dog and noticed a girl who he thought he recognized as Cristina from years ago. He took a chance and walked over to say hello. The pair walked and talked that day and a few months later, went on a date for the first time. Six years later, Josh took Cristina back to that very dog park and asked her to be his wife!  Isn’t that a great story?

Cristina and Josh’s wedding was my very first of the 2017 season! Which is exciting! I hadn’t met either Cristina or Josh until the wedding day but they were so easy to photograph. You can tell the incredible friendship and love they share for one another and how easy-going they were about their wedding day. They truly wanted to hang out with their friends and family and leave all the ‘fuss’ aside. (But that didn’t mean simple in decor!
