2017 was an amazing year in my business. Crazy how time flies.

Still makes me shake my head how the girl learning her camera in between high school classes at 16, went on to shoot her first wedding at 17… and that girl is me! I dropped out of university after only one semester at 18, determined to keep my growing photography business a living, breathing thing.

Ten years later, I’m still going, and it’s crazy to me. Who picks their career at seventeen? I didn’t set out to do this, honestly – I just stumbled upon a job I love, something that was a challenge, provided autonomy in my schedule and I stuck with it each year as I continued to enjoy it. 

I’m so glad I did.

I’m so glad I’m still enjoying it and literally have no plans to quit shooting weddings. I love them.

This year marked not only my TENTH wedding season, which is an incredibly fun milestone to celebrate, it also marked my 200th wedding. I was thrilled to have my 200th be Sarah & Onur’s destination wedding in Penticton, BC. A definite career highlight — and celebrating the milestone through 3 giveaways on Facebook and Instagram was a blast.
