Rawmina and Arash met a couple of years ago online! For their first date, they met for drinks–which went so well, they decided to continue onto dinner. :) Their connection was instant, laughing a lot together during their first date and naturally, their relationship progressed!
Rawmina and Arash live in the San Fransisco Bay area, where Rawmina is a pharmacist and Arash a computer coder. When they have spare time, they love to cook together (Rawmina says Arash is the best cook; she’s a great sous chef!) and walk through their neighbourhood after work.
I’m really excited to have been chosen as their wedding photographer for their Brock House wedding. Rawmina and Arash are both Iranian, and it will be my first time witnessing an Iranian ceremony! I can’t wait.
When I asked Rawmina + Arash what they think makes them unique as a couple, they shared this about their individual backgrounds. Although they are both Iranian, Arash was raised in Iran and moved to Canada in his teens, whereas Rawmina was born and raised in the US.
In Rawmina’s words: “Since Arash has closer ties to Iran he has a closer connection to Iranian history, certain customs and is a native speaker of farsi. I was raised in an Iranian household but with American customs mixed in and am not as familiar with some Iranian history, customs, etc. But it’s interesting for us because we kind of fill in the gaps for each other.”
I love that and that’s definitely unique!
Oh, these two! They put up with freezing cold weather, a bit of sideways rain and overcast skies for their engagement session. We had a limited amount of time available, as R + A were visiting from California, but I love their positive attitudes and these gorgeous photos we captured! Enjoy!
