I absolutely loved photographing Debbie and Wai Sum’s Gastown Engagement Photos. There’s something about Gastown for engagement photos—depending on the time of day (or season) it can be crazy to dodge traffic and tourists, but when it’s good, it’s GOOD. (Here’s another Gastown engagement session I absolutely loved.)

About seven years ago, Debbie was celebrating her birthday with friends at a bar when she met Wai Sum. The two of them talked all night and exchanged numbers before parting ways! But—plot twist… Debbie lost her phone. Her first thought was, “Oh no. I also lost Wai Sum’s number!”

When she got home, Debbie tried to search him on Facebook—but didn’t know the exact spelling of his name. She was unsuccessful. The next day, Wai Sum texted her and all was right in the world! The first date was dinner, followed by hours of conversation and not wanting the night to end. They’ve been together ever since. :)
