Abby and Denis sat at the center of the head table, Abby leaning back into her groom’s arms, both their eyes pointed towards the podium. “I looked at my son’s eyes the night when we first met Abby, and I knew,” Denis’ father remarked, “I just knew. I had never seen that look before. That sparkle. That glow. I knew that was Abby… a couple of years later, here we are: at their wedding.” When it was time for Abby’s father to give his speech to the two hundred guests at Abby and Denis’ reception he echoed that he, also, saw a “sparkle” unlike anything else in Abby’s eyes.

I see it too. Without a doubt. I’m confident that Abby and Denis collect witnesses everyday to the fact that they are completely, wholly in love with one another. They share so much laughter and fun together, which I first got to capture at their engagement session last July. Abby moved from Vancouver to Toronto a couple of years ago after meeting Denis and having a long-distance relationship for a while. They both have been living in Toronto for the past two years, but they returned to Abby’s hometown to have a wedding with all their family and friends.

Alex, Abby’s sister and maid of honour, re-called during her speech that during Abby and Denis’ early dating months it was, “All, Denis-this, Denis-that, Denis-said this, oh guess what Denis texted/emailed/told me yesterday!” See, I told you! They’re smitten with each other.

The dance floor was preeeeetttty great!
