Kathryn and Neil first met at a friend’s birthday party about seven years ago. One of Neil’s best friends is married to Kathryn’s cousin so the pair have a few mutual connections that helped their paths cross! In January of last year, Neil asked Kathryn if she would be his wife–and surprised her with a re-designed vintage engagement ring (originally given to Kathryn’s mom by her late father.) What a special history!

Kathryn and Neil decided to put wedding planning on hold when Covid happened, choosing to focus on other life projects (like renovating and moving houses!) and looking ahead to a Summer 2022 wedding date. For their engagement session this month, we photographed in the Bedwell Bay neighbourhood of Belcarra, a place with special meaning and many memories for Kathryn and Neil.
