Michelle and Colin are part of an amazing friend group who continue to refer clients to me again and again and again! The web of friendships is hard for me to keep track of, but I’m sure Michelle and Colin are connected to at least 5 other couples who have hired me for their weddings over the last handful of years.

Michelle and Colin’s wedding was originally planned for 2020 (on their 10th dating anniversary, which I loved)—but unfortunately due to Covid, they made the difficult choice to postpone their celebration until Summer 2021. The day they ended up choosing in June was one of the hottest days of the entire year— during a rare “heat dome” in Greater Vancouver. It was nearly unbearably hot, but Michelle and Colin still a beautiful day celebrating outdoors (in the shade) with a small group of friends and family.

Fast forward two years, and Michelle and Colin are now celebrating the first birthday of their twin girls! We chose one of my favourite places to shoot in Port Moody, on a freezing cold October morning. (It was what worked best for the girls’ nap schedules.) We laughed at the weather extremes they’ve experienced in front of my camera: from 36 degrees Celsius to 0 degrees Celsius.
