Jocelyn and Chad met in university, but didn’t connect on a deeper level until they ended up working at the same place after graduation. They knew who one another was, and would occasionally small talk—but nothing further!

Fast forward to the end of 2021… Chad reached out to Jocelyn on Facebook to wish her a happy birthday. (Love that excuse to kick off a natural conversation. Way to go, Chad!) At this point in their lives, both Chad and Jocelyn happened to be single—so the talking continued, and eventually rolled into a coffee date. Their first date felt so natural, and they’ve been dating ever since!

Jocelyn and Chad live in Calgary, but were planning a weekend trip to Vancouver in February. Jocelyn had visited the Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge a few Christmases ago with a friend, and when she saw the park was doing Love Lights for the month of February this year, she knew she wanted to go! What she didn’t know is that she’d be engaged before their trip happened. :)

After the proposal earlier this year, Jocelyn sent me an inquiry about engagement photos at Love Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. I was all over it! I’ve photographed an engagement session during Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge, but this is the first year the park hosted a Love Lights display.
