In December 2024, Taylor and his girlfriend Leann planned a trip to Vancouver (from Seattle) to attend the Taylor Swift concert. :) Before his trip, Taylor reached out to me because he wanted to propose while they were in town!

He and I planned a simple walking path along the water in Yaletown for his big moment, and I waited nearby doing my best to remain incognito :) Proposals are always a bit nerve-racking to photograph, but I’ve found that choosing busy city spots makes it so easy to blend in! Once the question is popped, I always approach quickly to get closer photos (can’t ruin the surprise then!) — and as I did this, Leann was so wrapped up in the moment I thought “Has she even noticed me yet?” I kept photographing and a few minutes later went and introduced myself. Turns out, she hadn’t noticed me at all which I thought was so cute. She was very in the moment, and these two were so delightfully happy. Truly a joy!!
