I was so excited when Emily and Ronald emailed me about their July wedding… only a month ago! It’s always fun when I can squeeze in another summer wedding when I think ‘booking season’ is over and I love the chance to meet another couple. :) 

I met Emily and Ronald for the first time last week at sunset for their engagement session in Deer Lake Park. They started dating in their last year of high school in Hong Kong and have been together ever since… for eight years! Here’s the crazy part. Ronald moved to Vancouver for work three years ago and they’ve dated long-distance since then. They got engaged on New Year’s Eve in Hong Kong when Ronald was visiting and just a few weeks ago, Emily moved to Vancouver. Long-distance-no-more! 

They are planning a small wedding with only thirty guests on a Thursday morning in July at the Stanley Park Teahouse and I’m thrilled to get to be their wedding photographer. And look how cute they are in their engagement photos. I love a smiley couple!
