Jady and Doug met for the first time about six years ago through their church in Coquitlam when Jady started attending a different service at the church. One week, Doug and his friends approached her to introduce themselves. Jady remembers Doug being the only guy to reach out his hand to shake hers. As Jady and Doug started to chat, they discovered they were both business students at the same university but Doug was one year ahead. In the semesters that followed, Jady and Doug were in a few of the same classes together and Doug often offered to drive Jady home after night classes.
Soon, a relationship blossomed out of their friendship and after five years of dating, Doug proposed to Jady in front of her favourite white chapel on a summer night in May!
Jady and Doug were a referral from Rebecca and Kenneth and I can’t thank them enough! If that wasn’t already awesome enough, Jady and Doug recommended two of their friends, Tommy and Carman to book me! I’ll be photographing T+C’s engagement photos later this month.
The first part of their session, Jady and Doug wanted to style as a pre-wedding session. Jady borrowed her sister’s wedding dress and Doug wore a suit and we enjoyed all the beauty of Crab Park in Vancouver.
The sunlight and the leaves were perfect.
A quick change and we were onto Gastown for another look to their engagement photos!
I love these street-crossing photos!
I also love these laughing photos! You know they are always my favourite…
Happy wedding planning, Jady and Doug! I look forward to seeing you next Spring for your wedding day!
